How do our moments in the dark define our humanity? Who do we become when our reflections hide from the light?
This is a piece about our moments in the dark; moments in which we’re uncertain of the air around us. I personally believe it’s imperative that we face the areas of ourselves towards which we feel uncomfortable and that we avoid. Areas that live within our bodies as hidden organs, beating and working under the command of our souls. They are irrevocably part of us, they are us. I think we all have a secret corner that we choose to ignore, turning our backs to the mold that grows in the darkness everyday. This stubborn ability to refuse a festering problem is, I think, innately human. Will you meet the gaze of the monster in the corner?
